I stayed in July and I truly enjoyed my experience there. Everything was super clean. I had a room with a private bath down the hall. I slept like a baby...my bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was perfect as well.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Chilmark room and it was very nice. The room was very very clean as was the bedroom. The bed was also extremely comfortable. Diane was delightful and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was amazing and the second morning we were there, we put in personal orders since there weren't many people there. I would recommend bringing a bottle of wine with you if you plan to drink anywhere in Vineyard Haven since it is a dry town. The cab driver we had said that might be changing sometime at the end of this summer. That's really the only reason I gave 4 stars because we had to go on the bus to go out to dinner both nights to have a drink. If we had known ahead of time, we would have brought a bottle of wine and went somewhere within walking distance. Make sure you take the bus out to Gay Head Lighthouse, the views are great! Also try to steak kabobs at Off-Shore Ale House in Oak Bluffs, they were to die for!
The breakfast is great, and the staff is helpful and nice. The hotel is cute and conveniently located. Walking distance from Vineyard Haven main street and the ferry. The room I stayed in was clean but rather tiny, and the bathroom was down the hall. The bed doesn't offer any back support. Though, the homemade cookies that are available all day might make up for that (if you don't have back problems).

The breakfast was yummy and I loved sitting outside or on the pretty porch was eating. The location was superb with only a quick walk to lovely Vineyard Haven and just a crossed street to pick up a bus to Oak Bluffs or Edgartown. Lisa and Steve (I believe that was his name) were always around in the morning to help guests with any questions they had, to provide change in dollars for the VTA, or just to chat if that was desired. Elena, at the front desk, was just wonderful, too. She gave me some really great recommendations for my time on the island. I would definitely stay here again!!
